Tuesday, the sophomore leadership class hosted an assembly in honor of Veterans Day. Sgt. 1st Class Ret. Wayne Petree spoke to students about his time in the military and the impact it had on his life, including his family. He said that even if he could go back in time, he wouldn’t change enlisting in the Army. Band Director Charles Drury led the school band in performing the songs of each military branch and concluded by playing Taps on the trumpet to honor all fallen service members.
