“I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream!”
Originally known as Peter Pan Ice Cream, Braum’s has a well known reputation for offering premium ice cream and delicious burgers.
Braum’s is able to maintain this quality because of its private farms and processing plants located in Tuttle.
The location closest to the school is on 4020 N Penn Ave. It is seven minutes from the school, making it an easy drive for off-campus lunch.

Some of Braum’s popular ice cream flavors are cookie monster, cherry limeade, and butter brickle, which tastes like vanilla ice cream with a more silky texture and a subtle nutty flavor.
While some people come to Braum’s for its delicious ice cream, others choose it for its classic American fast food like its chicken strip dinner, which comes with chicken strips, crinkle-cut fries, gravy, a roll, oatmeal raisin cookie, and Braum’s dipping sauce.
Overall, Braum’s is a well-rounded store compared to its competitors like Boom Town Creamery and Marble Slabs. While competitors showcase their ice cream with rich ingredients, Braum’s is able to make products half the cost compared to them and still maintain its great quality. For example, a pint of ice cream can run up to $10 at Boom Town Creamery while it typically comes up to $5 at Braum’s.
However, I will admit, my experience at Braum’s will be different from others. I grew up eating Braum’s every now and then since it was two minutes away from my house. I have grown up eating many of its well known items, like its bag of burgers and sweet malts. For me, Braum’s has become a nostalgic feeling. I would compare Braum’s to a child’s first time eating ice cream, savoring each and every bite without a worry in the world.
Whether you are a senior looking a great place to eat or are wondering where would be the best place to grab a sweet treat, Braum’s is definitely one of the best options to choose.
