
Both the girls and the boys soccer teams have competed and played several games so far in their season. Both will play against Guymon April 4.
The boys soccer team started their season tying a home game against Heritage Hall Feb. 25. Feb. 28 they won 2-1 against Putnam City West. The team beat Southeast 2-0, Mar. 25. So. Nick Pitman said the boys soccer team has developed better friendships and chemistry. The boys team is led by Senior Co Captains Joe Coats and Noah McReynolds. They have a record of 5-3-1.
The girls soccer team is coached by Kal Okot. To start off the season they beat Norman 1-0, Feb. 25. They continued to play games all through March. They currently have a record of 4-3.
Freshman Kennedy Dressel said being on the varsity team is challenging because of the high intensity.
“As the season goes on I hope to grow in my confidence,” Dressel said.
Dressel also said her coach helped her to open her eyes and see what it takes to actually succeed and reach for your goals.
Both teams will continue to play through the rest of April and into the beginning of May.
