Students react to Administration’s announcement

Students were disappointed by the administration’s decision to not allow lunch deliveries from UberEats, Grubhub, Doordash, to the school in light of the recent shooting in Nashville.

“The food at school gets really repetitive, and I get really hungry in the middle of the day, but I understand why they stopped deliveries,” sophomore Julia McCasland said.

In recent years, the school permitted outside food deliveries, but underclassmen will no longer be able to get food deliveries unless a parent brings it.

“Ordering food is just convenient for those of us freshman, sophomores and juniors that can’t leave campus yet,” junior Presley Payne said.

Many students enjoy the convenience and the ability to order the things they want throughout the day.

In the March 31 email to parents, Principal David Morton explained that the school officials have no way of knowing the background of the delivery drivers, so the decision was made to help ensure the safety and security of students.

“I know our students who utilize these services will be disappointed, but the safety of our school is always my number one priority,” Morton wrote in the email.
