The girls basketball team has started off their season playing games against North Rock Creek and Mount St. Marys. The team, coached by Jade Carter, hopes to learn how to grow in their own strengths and weaknesses. The team won an impressive victory against Harding Charter Prep.
The team is led by five seniors Abby Edwards, Ana Barrios, Layla Love, Karen Bustillo, and Coffey Collier.
Collier said that she is proud to be part of this team.
“I want to make my last season great, and not regret anything,” Collier said.
She also said she hopes to make this season as fun as it can be.
Carter pointed out the best part of the season so far has been everyone accepting each other and playing together.
“I hope they learn to know what it takes to win the game and not necessarily individual accolades,” Carter said.
Collier said they have a lot of potential, and they have a really aggressive young team. She hopes the team can grow in their communication with each other with each other on and off the court.
