Just less than a week after winning the regional competition, the Game Day cheer team will compete at the state tournament tomorrow.
“They have made our dreams come true by being first out of 37 teams at regionals,” Head Coach Mandy Gerszewski said.
There is an extremely short turnaround time from Performance State which was Sept. 28 to Game Day Regionals which was Nov.9. This leads to a packed 4-6 weeks of unity as a team to get the routine perfect.
“Game Day state, it’s legitimately a circus with all these moving parts coming together,” Gerszewski said. “It takes every single kid on the floor to make this magic happen.”
After the state competition they will go back to competing in Performance State for Nationals.
Game Day competes tomorrow, Nov. 15 at 9:20 a.m.
