Sophomores are preparing for the tenth grade retreat where they will volunteer at various organizations throughout town tomorrow.
Around 211 sophomores, 23 seniors and various adults will be attending. Campus minister Kelly Allen explained that the students would travel to different charities to help volunteer. They will be volunteering to grow their faith and learn about themselves while connecting with the community. In this retreat they learn about being a person for others through service.
“It’s just a lot of learning about yourself in community, and about the people around you, and then figuring out for yourself where God fits,” Allen said.
