A familiar face has returned to the building after being gone for 3 years.
After leaving to teach at Rosary School at the end of the 2020-2021 school year, Science teacher Christopher Ruesewald has returned to teach Methods of Science and Physics.
Ruesewald previously taught Methods of Science, Honors Methods of Science, and Physics when he was originally at the school. He was also the Swim and Robotics Coach.
“I enjoy teaching at the high school level, know and love BMCHS, so I knew this is where I wanted to be,” Ruesewald said.
At Rosary, Ruesewald taught Math, and Social Studies which was different from what he taught at McGuinness.
“I enjoyed being a part of the Rosary community,” Ruesewald said. “I loved the energy and positivity brought each day by the students, getting to teach History and Math, and being at the same school as my kids.”
Ruesewald didn’t always want to be a teacher.
“I have a dual major in Financial Services/Risk Management and Corporate Finance from St. Mary’s University in San Antonio,” Ruesewald said. “I originally worked as a claims adjuster in the insurance industry.”
Ruesewald said he is from all over Texas, having lived south of Houston, Ft. Worth, Dallas, and San Antonio and later to Oklahoma in 2015.
“My wife is an Oklahoma native and family is important to us,” Ruesewald said. “After being blessed with our daughter, it wasn’t a difficult decision to move close to family, be a part of the community and allow for four generations to attend Rosary School.”
His favorite thing since coming back to McGuiness has been getting the opportunity to be in the new wing of the school.
