Sophomore Chelsea Le and her partner Freshman Kate Thomas dualed 6A Heritage Hall on Tuesday, April 2. Although Le and Thomas lost it was a learning experience for them that they believe will help them with future tournaments.
“This duel, me and my partner, Kate Thomas, made a pretty good return to the match after losing the first set,” Le said. “Even though we ended up losing the match, I feel like in the second set we were able to really reset and come in with a good attitude. I think that we will be able to play much better when there is a rematch.”
Sophomore Juliandra Abbott also played a singles match against Heritage Hall.
“I learned to be patient with myself and know that even though we lost I still played well,” Abbot said. “It was a good learning experience to play harder players to up my game for the future.”
Since Heritage Hall is a 6A school, this loss does not affect their rankings; this made the whole match more of a learning experience for them.
The teams next tournament is the BMCHS Invitational at the OKC Tennis Center on April 17.
