DV  had a competition at Northwest Classen on May 6th, and swept the show, winning platinum in every event they competed in. 

The team competed in four events— three group dances and a senior duet. The dance “Seven Nation Army”, got platinum and first overall. “The Lighting Strike”, a mostly upperclassmen dance, got platinum, a cutting edge choreography award, and a nomination for the routine on fire award. “We Don’t Eat”, a tap contemporary dance, got platinum and the showcase award. The senior duet also got platinum.

“It was a cool experience to really show ourselves as a team and show how well DV can perform,” junior Eden Gilbert, a three-year member of DV said. “Also it was just really fun, and I had a blast.”
