At the State Latin Convention the Latin Students won first place among small schools as well as multiple individual awards including; junior Zella Leffel was placed first, junior Chisa Nwanebu was second and junior Kaylin Hart third.

   On April 1st, Mr. Kirk Latin students attended the Oklahoma Junior Classical League State Convention at Southmoore High School. Weeks before the convention each student tested in a certain subject of their choice.  The following students have won multiple individual awards;  junior Huang Rountree, freshman Gigi Perdue, senior Emma Bannister and senior Lauren Goodman. 

   “There’s so much to do and enter, there are temporary tattoos, and academic events. Plus there are different stations to visit and you can do it either by yourself or with your teammates.” said Junior Kaylin Hart. Hart has been a part of the Latin community here for all three years.
