The Karaoke Club plans to host a Karaoke for Kyiv Night at 7 p.m. April 20. All proceeds from this event will be donated to the Catholic Relief Services fund for the people of Ukraine. This is the first event that the Karaoke Club has hosted, the club was founded by seniors Alyssa Rooks and Maggie Forth. “I started this fundraising campaign with my two good friends who are all passionate about making a difference in the world,” Forth said. “We saw people in need and came together to help the community in Ukraine in these troubling times.” Irish Football coach Ryan Stringer, who also is the Weight Training and Rec Sports teacher, is the sponsor of Karaoke Club. “ After I saw how much the karaoke machine brought everyone together and the fun everyone was having there was no way I couldn’t be the sponsor,” Stringer said.  The Co-Presidents have spent months planning this event. “We just wanted to plan something that was fun for the school and benefited a great cause for the people of the Ukraine,” Rooks said.
