Despite COVID-19 restrictions and its setbacks, Irish Cheer is going for the gold once again. Reaching for their fourth consecutive state title, the girls are practicing and pushing the limits in the last 20 days before state.

Wearing masks at all times including while tumbling and stunting, temperature checks, designated areas for each grades water bottles, washing hands after water breaks and having a 14 minutes timer for stunting are just a few of the precautions put in place to keep practices COVID-19 safe.

Early mornings, after-school, non-stop stunting and tumbling, cheer has been preparing for state since July. Practices started everyday at the end of July and once school began they switched to every other day

Cheer competes at regionals in Chickasha Jan. 16 and hopes to take the mat at Union High School for state Jan. 30.
